Tray 13 of 27 / Day 1 of 14

I am only in the middle of treatment (13 of 27 aligners). The gap is already almost closed. Problem - left front tooth and left canine is directly aligned with bottom front teeth. Right front tooth and right canine goes over (or is on track to go over) the bottom front teeth. In other words, left side is pushed back closer to my tongue, and right is pushed forward. Thats why you see one side of the gap is closed and the other is not. We are suppose to have a natural over bite. The right front tooth is a little ahead in this process.

  1. I'm so excited for you!!! I have an open bite and I know too what it's like to hide your smile. I'm on my first tray and super excited I keep counting the months. I was told years ago Invisalign wouldn't be an option for me and then two opinions later here I am wearing them! God is good! Thanks for having the courage to share your teeth it's very embarrassing especially because it is rare <3

    1. I'm so excited for you too! It is rare yet common. I looked at traffic sources for this blog. A large number of people google searched keywords like "anterior open bite before and after photos," "invisalign close open bite?," etc. It's probabaly more common than we think but no one posts photos or shares their story. As for you, you are going to be very happy with the results. I think my open bite was pretty huge and if it's working for me, it will definitely work for you. Keep me updated!

  2. Do you have many attachments on your teeth? I can't tell by looking at the pictures. How is your provider moving the teeth to close the bite? I just got invisalign and will be moving the teeth by using a TAD (temporary achorage device) to move the back molars up to allow the front teeth to move down. I'd love to know how you're achieving that kind of movement so quickly.

    1. Hi anonymous. Believe it or not, I don't have any attachments. Having conducted thorough research before starting invisalign, I was almost sure I would have them.

However, I do have dents in my aligners on the four upper front teeth. In my latest post (going up today), I will post a picture where (hopefully)you will be able to see what I'm talking about. I will also post more information about what they are and the difference between what I have and your attachments.

I hope I answer all your questions.
